Basson Workwear is a distributor of PPE, workwear and safety footwear. Our knowledgeable representatives and sales assistants take great pride in providing an extensive range of quality workwear at affordable prices. We are located in Wellington, but supply businesses nationwide.

We believe in building lasting relationships with their clients and consider it extremely important to provide top quality service.

Basson Workwear's board of directors jokingly told each other seven years ago that one day they would open their own factory. In September 2020, the impossible became possible, because they held on to a vision that the Lord placed in their hearts. In the heart of Wellington, Basson Workwear opens their own factory. This reminds us of Proverbs 18:21 and makes us realize anew how much power lies in our words.

The factory exclusively produces workwear under the label – ZION.

It was the range of beautiful mountains surrounding Wellington that led to the name ZION.

Exodus 32 tells us that upon returning from Mount Sinai, Moses found his people worshiping and offering sacrifices to a golden bull calf made from their jewels. That day 3000 people perished, because they chose to turn their backs on God...

As we read in Acts 2, 3000 people were converted and baptized on Mount Zion after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

The significance for us lies in the fact that if you return to God His goodness and favor will be upon you. Hence the name - ZION.

Notice the cross in the mountain of the logo... "You are protected" does not just refer to protective clothing, but also to Psalm 91.

Basson Factory currently has 14 employees. Their main objective is to create jobs for locals who are disadvantaged, thereby uplifting their own community in Wellington and bringing hope to individuals and families.

Every morning the factory workers start their day with scripture reading and prayer. The positive effects these practices have on everyone's moods and lives are well worth mentioning.

With the blessing of the Lord, the factory grew from strength to strength from the day it was opened. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.

Meet Tessa Groenewald, the factory manager, and Yvonne Williams, the production supervisor.
